I come downstairs about 15 minute early and click on my computer and pull down this bookmarked page:
http://www.usccb.org/nab/today.shtml
Then I read the readings for today that over a billion Christians in the world today are reading this day. They I am in Unity with the Body of Christ on this earth and have read a well balanced selection of the Word for the day.
Happy Easter.

I'm not a morning person. I have my quiet time right before I go to bed at night. A friend gave me the Daily Bible, which has scriptures from Old and New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs (about three pages) broken into sections and read each day. Takes about 15 minutes. I received it on January 2, and didn't think I'd be able to stick with it, but here it is April, and I'm still reading (almost) every day. It's really helped me a lot to have that guide/goal each night.

Wake up 15 minutes earlier. Or read before you go to bed and turn off the TV instead!

Getting up early to read the word is great. Don't forget you can also read some scripture during your lunch break. Also try reading a few scripture before going to bed. I find this time to be better because I am not in a rush for anything like I usually am in the am.

I would recommend you start with a smaller amount of time like 15 minutes until you have a habit established and then stretch it out to a longer period. Starting at an hour could be hard and you might get discouraged easier and quit altogether. Good luck and God bless..

Many people do wake up earlier to get things done they want to do - like exercise or scripture study.
Mormon high school students regularly get up that early to go to early morning Seminary classes every day of the week before school, all around the world.
It can be done, if you make it a priority!

An hour would be great... but if you're like me, you probably treasure your sleep. Try 15 minutes. If that doesn't work, read before bed. Easter is a good time to start!
