Romper Room was one of my favorite shows as a kid. The rhyme you're thinking of was recited at the end of the show, when the host, Miss whoever (Miss Mary Ann, Miss Molly, etc.; depended on the city where you watched it), would look into her magic mirror and recite:

Romper Stomper Bomper Boo,
Tell me tell me tell me true
Magic Mirror, tell me today:
Did all my friends have fun and play?

And while she recited the rhyme, there'd be this swirly design on the screen. At the end of the rhyme, the host would be back, but this time she'd hold the outline of the mirror and tell the names of all of the kids she saw. The names would always be common names from the 70s. So you're not the only one who remembers! And personally, I think that Romper Room was better quality TV than the overproduced, overmaterialistic crap you see today.

god yes i remember Romper Room with Miss Rosalyn Thompson WHO presented it from 1964 - 1976, and can you imagine how excited you got if she mentioned your name on TV even though she probably just picked out names at random, looking through the magic mirror, and i still remember the Anglia silver knight ident which i still love to this day, brings back happy memories.

Romper room began life in the United States and strangely all the women presenters were referred to as "Miss" with Miss Nancy being the 1st

Yes, what a classic! She use to name kids that she saw watching through her round see through mirror thing. Something like " Romper romper stomper boo, tell me tell me do, I see all my friends at play, did all my friends have fun today?" or something like that. It's been a long time.

I watched Romper Room on Channel 9 out of Secaucus, NJ

"Romper, bomper, stomper, boo.
Tell me, tell me, tell me do.
Magic mirror, tell me today.
Did all my friends have fun at play?"

Not only did I watch it but my parents took me to a live show in central park with the lady and the Bee.

I heard it was syndicated and different cities had their own versions.
