Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (almost to the boiling point) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it or Dawn dishwashing liquid (2 or 3 drops into one cup of water) and repeat step 1. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner.

With a sponge and cold water, this should remove the soap. The next thing to do is to lay a towel with a heavy object on top , this will help dry up any water from the underside of your carpet , leave over night like this then leave to dry with natural air. you might have to sponge this area again as sooner or later the water mark will reach the surface. You could also have the carpet steamed cleaned , this will make sure all the soap is out & carpet get´s dried properly. Happy Easter

Put a dry towel down & step on it repeatedly. It will pull the wet soap up into the towel. Change towel as it gets wet. After most of the soap & water is up put a fan on it to finish drying or keep your ceiling fan on in the room. If it stains the carpet try Spot Shot on it. It is a great spot remover for carpets & fabrics.

DO NOT RUB. This will fray thge yarn ends.
You'll need to use cold water. Wet the area, don't flood it.
Blot and Wick it up with towels.
You'll have to repeat this several times.
Once it appears that the soap is gone, then spread towels over the area with a weight. This will blot the the balance of water.
Repeat if necessary.

Get as much of it out as can you with a damp cloth, rising frequently. If, when you think most of it has been removed, there is still a colored stain then use a carpet spot remover like Resolve or Spot Shot.
