Because neither of them are really Rock..Red Hot Chili Peppers are alternative.
My Chemical Romance is a major F@G band. They're Indie Rock.
And Green Day..Old Green Day was punk..new Green Day is emo.
REAL ROCK bands would be: Tool. Deftones. Stone Temple Pilots..etc.
And Lamd Of God..is Metal...not Rock!

If I have to pick from this list I would have to say The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The others haven't been around long enough to really see what they're made of. The Chili Peppers have been through alot and keep going, they just won't die! lol!
