If anyone should be taken off the air it should be O'Reilly. He constantly recites dribble that everyone knows is wrong. There is not one person on Faux news that reports the news honestly.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. Freedom of speech is precious. As such, people should be allowed to voice their opinions even if it's not a "popular" opinion. David Irving is a good example of this. He is a holocaust denier who was imprisoned in Austria for his views. (Thought criminal) I don't agree with David Irving, and I believe that the holocaust really occurred. But I certainly don't feel that he should have served a prison sentence for his views either. It's scary that he did. Likewise, I don't agree with Rosie O'Donnell on every issue. I'm not too keen on her lifestyle. But she still has a right to express her own opinion without being yanked off the air. I do agree on the subject of 9/11 -- that it was an inside job carried out by our government. Bush and his administration are simply tools of a global elite shadow government. The Clinton administration was equally a tool.

O'Reilly has been outspoken when Ann Coulter was vile and rude as well. I think he is right when he says ABC should reign her in (although fire her is questionable). She is irresponsible.....I am all for free speech but the View is not a forum to Bush Bash on a daily basis. She can do that elsewhere--like on her own show. She used to be a positive person--and I've not seen that from her since she had her own show. She's been spewing hatred. The View has just become a platform for Rosie's political views--and she is doing a disservice to Barbara Walters and ABC.

What Rosie is doing goes beyond freedom of speech. I agree with you about freedom of speech being important but Rosie has overstepped the bounds and is hurting thousands of people who have lost loved ones in the 9/11 incident and in the military since. I am not just talking about the ones killed in Iraq but the ones who serve everywhere in the world. Her remarks are an insult to them and their families. Let me make it clear I respect your right to swing your arm any way, any where you wish; however, that right stops at my nose. Rosie has crossed that line. Just ask any DAV member. I have 9 years in the military during that time a spent a lot of time far from my family. I personally spent a lot of sweat, some blood, and no few tears for shipmates who died in the line of duty. Rosie's freedom of speech stops dead when she insults those absent companions and the sacrifice they made. Rosie O has done exactly that.

It's funny, I rarely watch The View, but I decided to turn it on this week because of all the ruckus. They are showing reruns. Hmm... Are they planned reruns or are they doing it while Barbara makes a decision about Rosie? Bill O'Reilly's got a lot of nerve talking about being stupid and irresponsible for voicing her opinion. What about his assinine statements day in and day out? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Freedom of speech IS one of our most precious freedoms. But, it's a privately owned show and if Barbara wishes to remove her because she is upsetting the viewers then she probably has the right to do so. I imagine the contract has a clause for things just like this. Rosie will have to use her freedom of speech in public like everyone else if that's the case.

Freedom of speach is fine as long as you can live with the ramifications (ask the Dixie Chics). There is time time and place for everything. The View is not a political show, but if the viewers of The View don;t want to here her crap they will tune out.
The question then becomes is Barbra willing to risk her show based on that pig's comments.

I haven't watched the tired old 'big three' of ABC, CBS or NBC in over four years cause their programing is so lame. CNN, Biography, SciFi, Spike, Fox, Espn, History, National Geographic, BBC, SiTV, Hallmark, Comedy.....even Disney channels have better and more interesting programming.

I support freedom of speech, but hopefully ABC will recognize most people hate Rosie and realize for ratings sake that they need to fire her! It's one thing to have free speech, another when you have a distorted anti American attitude and preach it to millinos of people evryday, corrupting peoples thoughts! She says the most ignorant anti-American things and reaches a substantial amount of people, all of whom are probably of low intelligence and gullible, which can have very damaging effects for this country. Rosie preaching to those ill-informed people can have very strong influence on the crucial election to come.

Yeah, but she's gone way too far! Dennis Miller, who's on O'Reilly a lot according to my dad, says that she doesn't really believe all that. Her contract is up in May and she wants out of it so she can go on to late night TV. I heard separately that she's negotiating for just that sort of thing. I hope she gets it so that we could watch "The View" in peace! I think it's a shame, though, that she couldn't be more honest and ask to be let out of her contract. She pretty much had Star Jones fired so that she could get on "The View" because Star didn't like her at all. I'm not fan of Star's but I think it's sad that she made the show what it is today and she was gotten rid of for Rosie.

Rosie seems to have lost it ever since she came out of the closet (nothing against gay people in general, just her).Look at Ellen DeGeneres, she's still pretty much herself and cool. I think Rosie will implode on her own.

Does freedom of speech mean you have to be given a show to voice your insane opinions? Gee - That means MY rights are being denied!!!
People are now wanting Imus to resign. Doesn't he have freedom of speech? or is it only when you are insulting conservatives?
