Well I don't know what your site is, since you didn't list the URL, but in any case, Descartes didn't try to unite the body with the soul. On the contrary, he argued that the body is distinct from the soul.

This is a problem that is particular of the west. Oriental philosophers mostly shrug off that kind of question. Chinese philosophers who have explored the question of Chi sometimes talk of it as a force flowing through the body, or sometimes in terms a westerner would recognize as soul. When asked what connects it to the body, they just say it is. We can notice it in everyday life. Systems are not what they're after.

yaa! "I think therefore I am" is still valid but the other half of his soul, that, "numbers are absolute", is absurd. Therefore, his problem , the integration of the mind and body, now called schizophrenia, drives on in in the guize of celebacy.

i think everyones body, soul, mind, brain, spirit are connected, only the connection gets clogged up sometimes,,,, it is us who choose to focus in more on one then the other,,,,,, develop one more, pay attention to one more,,,,,,,, watch little children,,,,,,, they dont have this problem,,,,,,, unless they go threw trauma,,,,,,,,,, otherwise, they are very well connected,,,,,,,,, it is often society that makes us disjointed
