It's difficult to say. i am currently reading 6 books every day, a chapter or a certain amount of passages depending on the book.i go through an average of 3 books a month, so more than likely i read about 12 to 15 books a year depending on how long they are.

The reason for this is because when i was a kid, there was a program called "Reading is FUNdamental" that helped me learn that a busy mind is a sharp and functional mind.

I asked myself that same question a couple of years ago. So I started a reading journal for novels only (not counting poetry, non-fiction, etc). I list four categories: 1/Begun, 2/ Begun seriously, 3/ Half-way Through, and 4/ Done. I've found that I finish about 24/year -- but that I get partway through many more. Oddly, each category has about the same number of "checks." One thing I like about the journal: I can look back and see if I'm reading the range of material I think I should. It has been a useful, simple, and satisfying discipline.

I used to be a 20 BOOK A YEAR reader but now I am a 1 BOOK A YEAR reader because of video games and the internet. My reason for reading is entertainment purposes or quick references.

I have no idea how many books I have read..... I know the number is pretty up there though especially if you count books for school. I love to read on my own as well.

It depends on how fast I read a novel. The average time it takes for me to read is a week, although I have read books much shorter and much longer.

I'd say in the 20-30 range.

Probably I average about 30-40 a year. I wish I had more time to read.

I used to be able to read three a week and just be in heaven, BUT then I went back to school. Between a full time job, full time student, a daughter and a husband that seems to never be able to find anything, I am lucky if I read one a month:)
