"The Perry campaign received $100 from Jim Claymore, an Austin spokesman for the National Alliance, a white-supremacist group. Mr. Claymore said Monday that he and other members of the organization had supported the Republican governor. "It's more the lesser of two evils situation," he said. "If nothing else, he buys us a little more time from a political and a racial perspective." Ray Sullivan, a Perry spokesman, said the campaign had no way of knowing that Mr. Claymore was affiliated with the National Alliance and was returning the contribution. TO THE POSTER BELOW,

National Alliance was started by William Pierce, a former member of the American Nazi Party.

I think the term neo-nazi is appropriate.

Bruce,

Why do I do it? I do it to educate the clueless. Everytime a con makes the mistake of saying nazis, klan members, and neo-nazis are left-wing liberals, I will post the same anti-con posts.

They're not all the same though. I'm continually adding to my arsenal of facts.

Statistically, there are more zealots of this type in the republican party. However, this was not always the case. Prior to the civil rights movement and attempts to impose anti-lynching laws BOTH major parties were sprinkled with followers of this type of thinking.

The better question to ask is why do people like this even exist in a country where they are the majority race, have the most capital and the most power. What REAL threat are minorities to them? If the playing field were really level, the very minorities they detest would be contributing even more to the tax base by being fully employed.

Because it's the only political party that accepts, tolerates and promotes similar principles of discrimination against some classes of people for the benefit of others that they choose to treat as privileged.
