What is the EXACT error that you are getting?

Well I hope its not an ntfs error. NTFS is the file system structure on the hard drive, if it is corrupted and not allowing you to boot you either have a hard drive that has gone bad or at least parts of it have or you have lost some data that is critical to windows.
See if you can boot to safe mode (press f8 before the sceen that shows staring Windows) and if you get the boot menu, boot into safe mode. If that works you may be able to recover by running scandisk.

NTFS is the file system used in newer Windows Versions... system32 is the folder where Windows system files are stored... my guess is that your windows installation is somehow corrupted - reinstalling Windows should help

Make virus check as well - there are viruses that have that exact effect on your computer

Also, note down the exact error description and check microsoft support - maybe it is a known issue and they have a prepared solution...

Get your OS install disc and try to repair windows when prompted to . If that does not work you will have to reinstall the OS . A blue screen usually comes from a virus that has stayed in the hard drive too long. Personally I would do a clean re- install of the OS.
