I also have a homlite blower. You may be flooding it.
I push the priming bulb 3 times
I turn the choke on
I give it one pull
I then move the choke to the warm up position. (middle one)
I give it a pull
and it starts. I let it warm up for a minute or until you can hear the engine wanting to slow down, and then I turn the choke completely off.
since you may have flooded it several times you may want to buy another spark plug and check the sponge air filter and clean it before you try and start it again. good luck and Happy Easter.

Take it back and tell them. Something needs to be repaired. If it was a Poulan I would say that is about the average pulls to get it started, then you are lucky.

I have found some modern 2 stroke engines flood very easily. If it fires just once push the choke off before you try again that way it should not flood.
