First off i'm wondering if anyone sells a diesel scooter in America. Second, i would rather create my own, the type of body style i would like i can't think of what to call it to search or find pictures. Buts its the exposed frame kind, usually black with big wheels, something that would probably come in as a kit. I saw someone go by my house on one one time but haven't see any since then. Thanks

The type of scooter that you may be thinking of were made by Cushman (search for Cushman scooters). Check into the Briggs & Stratton engine site, they have a line of diesel engines. Unfortunately, Cushman scooters are antigues, but, maybe you can find a junk one and use the frame.

A small diesel engine would probably not meet current US EPA emissions requirements. China 49cc 4-stroke gas engines (139QMB) have been very reliable.

Your best bet would be a "mini bike" frame.
Do a web search for "briggs and stratten mini bike" to see what they look like.
