great acting.. great story lines... yet its in a crappy time slot. im afraid this show is doomed.

I've heard it's 50-50 at this point. We likely won't know until Upfronts in May.

The good:
1) Austin -- where it's filmed -- has offered perks (money) if the show films there again next season, with an increase in the amount of money for each additional season.
2) The network executives are behind the show, big time. "American Dreams" was in a similar situation when it was on, and it made it longer than it normally would've because the network was behind it.
3) Lots of critics praise it regularly, and it just won an award.
4) Not all of their dramas will be returning (The Black Donnellys is gone, and it looks like Studio 60 is as well), so they need to hang onto some.

The bad:
The ratings suck. Ratings amount to almost everything.

According to the article below, they are likely to renew it, but it's not a sure thing yet.

well honestly...i kind of hope not...i liked it at first but that quickly faded...I am completely disinterested now
