I've been using Photoshop to create some mediocre paintings. The problem is my mouse is so sensitive that I can't get the lines I want. I am looking for one of those tablet things and was wondering which one I should get. I am a starving college student so please bear in mind that I do have money restrictions. I have found a few wacom tablets for about $100 but I didn't know if I should get it.

I agree with the first good answer, but I will give you a secret. I bought the least expensive Wacom tablet (Graphire ET0405 if they still make it), which is small, and still use it. It can produce wide or narrow and changing width line. When I queried, I found that I could buy replacement tips - just like the ones in more the expensive pens - that have a little spring in them for a much more flexible brush. $4.95 for 5.

Further, your paint software (as Paint Shop Pro that I use does) should allow you to set the line width and by enlarging the picture to let you stroke as you wish. And you should be able to change the sensitivity of your mouse - in Window on Control panel, Mouse.

Wacom makes the best tablets! I bought mine back in 2005 and it still works perfectly. I've dropped it a few times and it's fine. I've also heard many other artists praise wacom's bamboo tablets (I own a graphire from them, but they discontinued those).
