Try running a cycle thru the entire machine using white vinegar. Its good for removing build up and coffee oils.
Then run a cycle thru using plain water to clean the vinegar out.

Use a product called "Dip It ". It is an overall cleaner for coffee makers.
It is sold either in the coffee aisle or with the cleaning products.
It will clean the whole machine. You will be amazed.

Use a mixture of soda and water. All stains come right off. Then I use a tablespoon of vinegar and fill it up as if to make coffee then run that thru the unit, makes it work much better. AND: Good Luck.

I concur with the answer about the vinegar and water running through a cycle to clean it out. It is not a bad idea to do this monthly. Works good.

A standard pipe cleaner, available at any place that sells tobacco products, will do the trick.
