The album came out, but the movie never did.

They ran out of money and then changed studios so now the movie is made but has been 'sitting on the shelf' until someone comes along with that last bit of money they need to get it released. It could still come out someday, but right now say if you had the money to complete it, you would first have to pay-off the previous producers for what they've put into it and then you're talking big bucks that would be a big gamble since Garth Brooks is not on the top of everyone's memory list at the moment. Now, if Garth died, then everyone would scurry to try and get the rights to release it and they'd pay any amount then... go figure... :-)
