a friend told me this, but i seriously doubt it, and just wanted confirmation! also, are there any does and don'ts concerning the two? (lube+condoms)

It is perfectly fine to use lube with a condom. Just make sure you use a water or silicone based one so it doesn't break the condom

Well your friend's kinda right. NEVER use an oil-based lube (like vaseline) with condoms, it weakens the latex and causes them to break. Water-based lube (like KY-Jelly) is actually a good idea to reduce the friction, that's what they use to lube the condoms that are pre-lubed... Also--you should not store condoms in your wallet or car, they're more likely to break.

DO NOT use oil based lube with condoms. It degrades the latex and makes the condom ineffective. Try buying lubricated condoms. If you need more lube than they offer, buy water based lube.

If it's water based, then you're fine. Condoms are already lubricated, so I have no idea where your friend got that information. Maybe she meant petroleum jelly. Don't use that with the condom, the chemical can cause the condom to break.

Do not use vaseline, it cause the condom to break down. Any over the counter lube like KY or the such is fine.

don't use an oil based lube. the oil actually breaks down latex. as long as it's water or silicone based your ok. most oil based lubes, specificly tell you not to use with condoms on the packaging.

it is a good thing actually. use water based lube. otherwise the condom can dry up and friction can cause it to break. also, it is just more comfortable to lubricate those things.

Nope. Use with both together and it helps, use water base ones, so that it wont dried up the condoms...
