I am having about 15 pine trees removed (beatles are slowly destroying the pines) to allow for the growth of maples. A logger is clearing some property next door and will offer money or "clean up" in exchange for the trees.

I have no idea what they are worth. Almost all are tall, maybe eight are very tall. I know my description of size is vague, but what do loggers typically pay for pines in North Carolina?

You might consider contacting sawmills, log home manufacturers, etc. Otherwise, most trees are bought according to "stumpage price" which right now in North Carolina is somewhere between 6 and 7 cents a board foot. The higher prices are after the trees have been to the sawmill and are listed for "delivered price" and "manufactured price". I have listed an URL below which might can lead you in a better direction.

Need someone to haul away pine logs in Southport NC....any suggestions? We have a tree business here in Wilmington but do not have the means to haul the big logs away.

this would seem wonderful. Untreated pine would start to interrupt down after a pair years in touch with soil. in case you may save it some inches above the floor that's going to final longer. Even then, it fairly is advisable to eliminate the bark to slow fungal decay.

you'd prob be better off cutting them yourself and selling as fire wood, most loggers would leave you a mess to clean up. Check his record before you agree to anything.

WORTH NOTHING...
PEOPLE PAY TO GET TREES CUT...NOT GET PAID...
MOST TREES COST FROM 150 DOLLARS UP TO CUT DOWN AND ANOTHER 150 TO CLEAN UP...

ITS A GOOD DEAL YOU'RE GETTING IF THEY WILL CUT FOR PULP/TIMBER.

YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THEY ARE INSURED......
AND BE ON SITE WHEN CUTTING CLEAN UP IS DONE.

MANY WILL TELL YOU YHEY WILL CLEAN UP AFTER CUTTNG ECT AND YOU'LL NEVER SEE AGAIN AFTER THE LOGS ARE LOADED AND HAULED OFF.

DON'T LET LOG BE HAULED TILL CLEAN UP.
