I love to study the tallgrass prairies of the midwestern United States -- mostly the plant life and the insects. Endlessly fascinating to me.

And I love to go to wind farms.
And constructed wetlands.
And look under rocks in a swift stream.
And watch birds in a temperate deciduous forest.

I worked for NASA and we were trying to park a satellite in a given position . The satellite would not stay and after studding we found that the gravity was not spherical as original thought but had mountains and Vallie's . It was very easy to park the satellite in the valley but impossible to park on on the side of the imaginary mountain.

I recall when a math prof expanded the infinite series representation of the exponential e (2.71....). Then he showed by using math that (e)^(i*pi), or "e to the i-pi" equalled -1.

You all know pi - 3.14159.......and some may know i = square root of (-1) which does not even exist except in math...it's imaginary.

But the three "magic numbers" of math: e, i and pi - all irrational, one even imaginary (not real) - when combined as e^(i*pi) come to equal the simple, exast negative unity.

Sent chills down my spine when I saw that, and it still does.

Mathematics, Are mathematical equations and theories real, or is there the possibility of illusion? Whereas space is infinite, no beginning, and never ending, beyond our comprehension, how can we know that E=MC squared, when we cannot discern infinity, which is beyond equations, formulas, and our understanding?
