You stepped into the 20 items or less lane in the grocery store with more than 20 items and hope all is well.?

Question

If you were in line behind that person, would you say something to him/her, mention it to the manager, get so ticked off that you would make a big scene so everyone can know about that person having more than 20 items, when you only have 5. What would you do or say, if anything at all? Has this happened to you?

I was a grocery-store cashier for 5 years. While working the 10 items or less register, I once had a guy with a whole cartload of stuff come through my line. Noticing all the ticked-off people behind him, I politely mentioned that it was 10 items or less. He snapped, "Well, do you want my business or not?" I had to ring him out, and most of the other customers left the line. *sigh*

If you are in a hurry perhaps you could just ask that person if you may go ahead, otherwise I'm sure there are much more important things in life to get upset about. Be careful about making a scene. Your 5 minute wait can turn into a whole lot worse not to mention even a physical confrontation. Perhaps that person is in an extreme hurry & getting a little frazzled. Generally a clerk will recognize the size of an order & ask the person to use a different aisle, apologize to the person & life goes on. Many times if a clerk at that register is not busy she will actually call someone even though they have a cartload.

i imagine that situations even as it really is in simple terms mandatory, like as an social gathering even as the food market is large busy than i imagine you need to be able to enter the ten products or a lot less lane even once you've more advantageous than 10 products. I mean I completely get the position your coming from, yet in certain situations some human beings will be in particularly a hurry like they ought to practice dinner something up for a social gathering that shall we are saying is in some hours. also anybody has there own seperate lives and we each and each and every make alternatives some ordinary some no longer. and that i have continuously made the alternative of in simple terms it appears that evidently paying for more advantageous than ten products and stepping into a each and on a daily basis lane so i do not seem as if that human being that went contained in the line with 10 products or a lot less with more advantageous than 10 products.
