It has overtaken my life recently, and I don't even always answer, I sit and read. It is a drug...?

It is not first hand knowledge, though. It is a social attempt. Otherwise we'd be addicted to the books on our shelves.

While visiting questions and answers; I find others, "questions and answers" helps me so I don't become too full of myself. I love it! Smart people here!

You are another who has just discovered they have wisdom and folly in their minds?!

This community just goes to show me that we can be helpful to the one end, or, end up being a victim of our own lack of mentally resembling the people we live amongst.

I have enjoyed being able to coexist here, so much, I have gone back to educating myself so I can lucidly enjoy the rest of my life.

I think one of the attractions is having people pass judgement on your opinion and intellect. I especially enjoy the social and philosophy questions, as it allows me to express my reflections on life, and see who else has come up with the same thoughts, or arguments against them.

Don't worry, it wont last. Life has a way of forcing us to move on and so you may find yourself coming back just once in awhile as you become busy in new arenas of thought.

i dont think i have, for instance, i was on here this morn, then off shopping, now am tired so i sat back down,,,,,,, but yes, internet things can be very addicting,,, i use to be to playing cards online, belonging to an online card league,,,,, then i had a summer practically pass me by, while i sat inside,,,,,,,, often feeling "i needed" to be there,,,,,that was when i said,,, enough!
you can get addicted to anything, if you find you are,,, just set yourself a goal/plan,,,,, to only do it for X amount of time,,,,,,, but, as addictions go,,, this can be a learning environment,,,,,, so its not as bad as some
