I'm suprised that no one came up with this answer. To get candle wax off of glass candle holders, I put them in the freezer for about a half hour or so. The wax then easily comes off.

Microwave a cup of water for 3 min. Pour water into an empty spray bottle. Spray onto glass and wipe off wax. Finish the job by cleaning table with WIndex.

Here is one way, it is super simple and quick but is three distinct steps.
Apply dry heat from a blowdryer until the spots are melted and soak up most of the wax with a paper towel.
For the waxy film, use dusting spray and paper towel.
For the oily film from the dusting spray use glass cleaner and a paper towel.
Is the glass good as new?

try WD-40, amazing what that stuff can do. Or you can pour small amounts of very hot water on it at a time to melt the wax and wipe it off. Try a little Dawn dish washing liquid to cut the oils in the wax.
