My garage door opens, usually in the middle of the night.
1. I've taken the batteries out of the remotes and it still happens.
2. I've changed the code and it still happens.
3. I've replace the wiring from the opener to the switch.
4. I've blown out with compressed air to make sure it is not a dust issue.
5. I am not around any military base.
6. I've make sure all connections are tight and secure.

Any help would be wonderful...

when you changed the code did you erase all the other codes? If not it will do no good. you could have an issue with the circuuit board. What about an airport or any place with weather satelite. this could cause it

I would say you've covered all of the normal things that can be done.
With the garage door closed, try and block the light beam at the base of the garage door. If the door opens then it could be a rodent or a pet or something getting into the light beam.
If you block the liight and the door doesn't open, then it makes things even more weird.

Try and disconnect the wiring from the safety lights and see if the problem still continues. It soulnds like a short in the wiring that is causing the door to open.

Good luck with it.

Usually caused by nearby wide band 2.4 gig remotes and phones. After pulling in at night, pull the emergency release on your garage door (easy as jerking on the string that hangs down) keep a broom handle nearby to lock it down again in the AM (push up on the switch that the string hangs from). If it's a screw type it will open with no problem, if a chain drive it will take about 3-5 seconds to latch and lift. There are signal shields that you can have installed, but they are expensive. If you have a H.A.M radio operator anywhere around it will also cause intermittent opening. I had to deal with this in my last house...Enjoy.

The radio frequency used by garage door openers is 390 megaherz and if this is used by someone in your area it can make your garage door go crazy.

Are your neighbors having the same problem? If not, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your door opener as you could have a fault.

There's a webpage here with an explantion of 'crazy garage door' phenomenon which might help.

I hope you sort it soon. Good luck!

Eighty bucks JUST for a transmitter is outrageous. Do not deal with them. If it for a receiver and transmitter it is not too bad but remember the receiver is probably still there on or by the powerhead. Try searching for Heddolf universal remote controls or the old Clicker brand. You will need your operating frequency (390, 360, ect) 380 is discontinued but you should not have that one with a Phantom. You will also need the radio and opener model numbers if you call Heddolf or Clicker for information. Good Luck!

One last point in view all the other things you've tried.
Have you checked the two limit switch adjustments on the opener motor housing?
A possibility of the closed position limit switch being set too close to the closed position limit might make it sensitive to passing trucks (dump trucks hitting a pot hole) or other bump could shake the ground enough to make the door think it hit an obstruction on closing and cause it to open.
Good Luck ! ! !

Do you or anyone else around use a remote for their T.V? My remote used to open my neighbors garage door. I had to change where my T.V sat. Also it could be kids, playing around. Change the frequency it's on.

They open from a certain frequency response, maybe your cordless phone, high speed internet router, or just plain someone else's garage door opener could be set to the same frequency. If all else fails, it might just be defective.
