I am going to buy World of Warcraft once I buy my new computer ^^. So I am wondering do I just need to download the free 10 day trial then upgrade it with my subscription. Or do I need to get the burning crusade thing that's retail inside stores? If not, what is the retail Burning Crusade thing in the Stores.

2 Question is how much space does World of Warcraft take up? 20gb is what I heard

10 day trial is just a trial. but you do have the option to upgrade online if you choose to. so i dont know where the hell that other guy gets his info from. because the trial is the full game its just that the account will only get to play for 10 days unless you pay and then the account gets upgraded and poof you have wow. then if you want you can download burning crusades and go from there. all over the internet. but know this... no matter what you do... you WILL need a credit card to play on the official servers. you can always just play on a private server but thats not controlled by Blizzard. and join Malygos. become one of the knights of malygos. we rock.

edit: wow is about 3.15 gigs. the expansion is about... 1.18 gigs but thats just the actual file sizes. when all is said and done and its installed... its about 7gigs i think. i cant remember. i had to get rid of it. it was taking my soul

You have two options this way:

1. Download the free trial, play the free trial for a ten days; then at the end, upgrade to the unlocked game.
2. Buy the game from either an online store or from a real world retailer.
You could also download the trial and then buy the software if you prefer to do it that way.

Either way you'll pay the same thing.

Burning Crusade is an expansion pack, you have to have the full game already to install it. The expansion pack adds two new races, a new crafting profession, and an entire new area for HIGH level characters. You don't really need it to play, but it does add some options for low and high end characters.

20 gigs is way too high. The original game is only 7~8 gigs, and the expansion pack adds another 2gigs. There are a lot of patches, but there aren't 10 gigs worth. :)

I downloaded the 10 day trial first. when you download the trial you download the entire game, so all you need to do is pay blizzard for it and then subscribe.... you don't need to go to the store and purchase it like some other people said. you can also buy the burning crusade online for the same retail price as you would find in the store. just go to www.blizzard.com and click on wow and wow:bc and it will tell you what to do. good luck.

p.s. mannoroth is an awesome server :)

First You have to buy the normal 'World of warcraft' then once you get that installed you "can" buy burning crusade which is just an upgrade so you can go to more places cities and make different characters.

The 10 day trial is just that, a trial. You can't upgrade it with a subscription. You'll have to go to the store and buy the actual game because it contains the CD-Key that will link your account to that CD-Key. It's to prevent software piracy.

The Burning Crusade is an expansion back. Basically, it allows you to play as 2 new races (Blood Elves and Draenei), and classes that were specific to each side is no longer exclusive (Horde can play as Paladins, and Alliance can play as shamans). The max level is also raised by 10, so you can achieve level 70.

you will have to buy the retail version what is inside is the key or you can buy the key for the exact same price if you want. it shouldn't take up that many gigs but that is not that much on a modern drive
