there was no god or after life. This is not a religious debate about how you believe. If there were no god or heaven or reincarnation etc would it change anything about how you live today?

No. I would still live as I do now.
My life is about showing the world how to find joy and happiness, living in accord with my own set of ethics. I am a good person. Nothing will change that.

I guess since i dont believe in anything but the cold damp dirt around me after death that im living life to the best of my ability. All i can do is hope for something better, but im not going to rule my life by fiction. And if, by chance, there is a god, and i am reprimanded for living my life the way i do, then at least i had a good time.

it is a 2 part answer....

1) I would live to the fullish having every adventure possible

however...

2) It would really depend on the personal moral compass of an individual, some would live to the fullest regardless of others.(for some that religious barometer keeps them humble and non-defiant) personally I think I would still be pretty much me, just with more having been done IE: traveled etc.

Of course, being termanilly ill, does it really make a difference?

I live hoping to pass on any and everything I have ever learned,it's MY legacy.

No. In such an environment, coexisting peaceably is still worthwhile. Sure, I might be a little more superficial and selfish, but on the whole, I still wouldn't steal, kill, or anything like that. In such an environment, morals might not be quite so important, but ethics still would be. Respect for your fellow man should be a priority, irregardless of the presence or lack thereof of deity and afterlife.

It would not change a thing for me, I do not hate people no matter what has happened, I would continue to cut up and have fun and do all the things I do today, I still would live life to to the fullest.

I personally live each day as if it was my last so it doesn't matter to me one way or another. If God exist, fine, If not, it is okay with me also.

To a peace loving person, no. But I wonder if that lack of belief would have rid us of the warlords. Would we have developed a democratic republic?
