I love the Disney Cruises, they are fantastic and with the kids clubs, they have a ball. I don't have any kids and generally go by myself and I still love the cruise, they are perfect for adults as well. There will be plenty that you can do as a family and also plenty you can do on your own.... Anyhow, I'm not certain what your quetion is, so I will try to provide a bit of information for you and also include some links.

Personally, I really like the Disney cruise. I've been on both the Magic and the Wonder many, many time and I think they are a knotch above some of the other cruise lines. I did go on the Magic once right before they went into drydock and it was needing to be cleaned up a little, but they same is true for other ships. They get a lot of wear and tear over a short period of time, but everything else is always spotless. Food is also pretty good and service is fantastic. I find that just about everything on Disney's cruise is a little better than the other lines, service, cleanliness, etc. Always fantastic, at least in my experience, as well as many of my friends and family you visit the Disney cruise regularly.

Room wise, I've stayed in several different suites onboard. My only suggestion is to try and get one of the higher decks. The bottom decks aren't exactly what you expect on a luxury cruise line. If you can get a higher deck, that is what I would do. I prefer to have a verandah room, at the very least I would get a porthole. I just think it gives you more sunlight, it makes the room feel better, and you can always look out your window at the ocean, when you are in port, etc.

You may want to check if Disney has any guarantee rooms available. If they do, you would book a room in a particular category that is sold out. Disney plans on people cancelling or changing their cruise, so they expect you to get a room in the category you paid for. If they don't have a room come available, then you would be upgraded to the next available category. You could pay for an oceanview room and end up a verandah room. It's a great deal, if you don't mind not being able to pick the room you will be in, it is a great way to go. In some cases you may not get upgraded, but several times you will be able to get a nice upgrade.

My sister went several times when she was a teenager and she always loved it. Disney has kids programs and they seperate you into age groups. That way, there is no one in the group that is too young or too old that you won't get a long very well. The teens program is pretty cool and you get a lot more freedom than the younger kids get. They have a lounge type area where they have T.Vs and video games. You can come and go as you please, you don't need parents permission, like the younger groups. They have activities planned every day, all day. They do games, scavenger hunts, make things, American Idol type activities, etc. It really is a lot of fun. Plus, you have your own beach on Castaway Cay and they also offer special shore excursions and activities for teens. Since your child is 12 they will be at the end of the age group for the Oceaner Lab, som I'm not sure which club they would prefer to be in. Sometimes the kids enjoy being older and sometimes they prefer hanging out with older kids. When you get onboard you can talk to the kids program counselors and if it is okay with them they will allow your child to participate in the other kids program.

The Oceaner Lab is really great, as are all the kids programs. I've gone with several families, to tell you the truth I hardly was with my friends children, they were always in the kids club. When their parents wanted them to do something with the rest of the group, they would usually get pretty upset, so they definitel enjoy it. But the Oceaner Lab offers drawing, games, scavenger hunts, parties, etc. So your 12 year old should have a blast in either club. The thing that is nice with the kids program is that Disney will give you a pager so you can be reached anytime they may need you, it gives you a little more peace of mind so you can enjoy yourself as well.

Your other child is going to be in the Oceaneer Club, in the younger age group. They do drawing in this age group as well, as well as stories, nap times, mysteries, snacks, etc.

Disney is really great with the kids programs. They keep everything really clean and sanitary. Any child that is suspected of being ill is asked to go to the medical center to be checked out and if they are sick they aren't able to participate, so that the rest of the kids don't get sick. If there are any allergies or medical concerns, Disney is really careful with this and makes sure that everything will be okay. Also, since the kids clubs are so great, you hardly see kids running around on the ship, even though it is a family ship. So, when you are trying to relax and enjoy yourself, you don't have to worry about a bunch of kids running and screaming, I've never had a situation like this, unless it was something real quick and it didn't bother me at all. You really don't see too many kids, once and a while and at certain things, like character meet and greets, but other than that it is perfect for adults as well.

Show wise, I've always enjoyed Disney a lot more than most of the other lines. I just think the shows are really great. I think the shows are the best on just about any cruise line. I've gone on some ships and have been really dissapointed, but others really enjoyed it. I'm thinking it may have to do with the fact that I compare the performances to Disney, and I just don't think they compare. I was on a ship not too long ago and actually left the show (something I rarely do) because the singers were so out of tune it gave me a headache. The shows are fantastic and children flip over them, a must see for the whole family.

I think the Disney Cruise is great. Like I said, my sister went when she was a teenager and loved it, and I've gone with many other children that have had a blast. I wish I could go in the kids clubs, they look like fun!

I love the Disney Cruise, I think they are great. Given the option of several different cruise lines, I think Disney would rate at the top of my list. They are one of the top rated cruise lines, so I don't think you will be dissapointed.

You can look at the links below to look into the activities onboard for the kids programs and things like that. Also, I've included a link to reviews on both ships.

Hope this helps!

We went on one in Sept. with our 4 children ages 9, 5, 2, and 6 months. We had such a fabulous time, we can't wait to go back! Your 3 year old is going to be completely mesmerized by all the characters, dancing, etc... The kids club is fantastic. My 2 oldest children actually cried when we would go pick them up! Its that good... The food is great, and you get to go to at least 3 different restaurants! They have all sorts of food up on the pool decks (pizza, hamburgers, etc...) and you can get it anytime you want as well. The Mickey Mouse shaped slide is a big hit with all the kids! Your older child will have a great time as well. If you go on Disneycruise.com you can really get some detailed info on all that the ship has to offer! We've been on other cruises without our children, but have seen children on them and we will NEVER go back to anything but Disney from now on! It is completely family oriented- nice clean fun. There are several areas just for adults too.

Yeah i have been on one. They are so much fun for any age. There is a hotub for the adults. There are arcades, theaters, pools, and shows for the older kids. There are even little rooms where teens can hang out and stuff. There are cute characters and its something the whole family can enjoy. I would totally reccomend going on one.
