right click on the task bar, and highlight the toolbar option, and choose quicklaunch... this will add a set of icons next to your start menu-. If IE is not already there, just drag and drop it onto the taskbar. I would uncheck the Lock the Taskbar option by right clicking on the taskbar as well. that way you can slide the bar to see all of your icons better

You can also go to the taskbar... right click in a grey area and go to customize...You will then find what you need and you can add those that you want....

Oops i was thinking of TOOLBAR...go down to the taskbar and right click on an open area...click on properties...when the box comes up click on customize...this might help you by fooling around with the many options of these two boxes..

ya you can drag the icon or right click on task bar and toolbar choose the quick launch it will come up there coz its window default...
