No. Because they suck.

Of Course! It's a new season which means its a new start no matter how bad a team is. The 1982 Colts went winless but then the next season they went on to a 7-9 record. They didnt make the playoffs but did something that people thought was impossible. The raiders have good young talent and 1st overall pick, I see them going into the playoffs as a wild card team at least.

No. Lack of a consistant offense, poor OL play, probably starting a rookie QB, in a division with tough teams like Denver and San Diego. AFC in general in much tougher. A 10-6 record might not get you into the playoffs and I don't see the Raiders even close to that kind of record.

I love the Raiders, they did have the 3rd ranked D. but they play in a tough division with 3 better teams and i think they are a least 2 years away

No. Too tough of a division and it's unlikely that they will shore up their biggest weakness, their offensive line, in the draft or in free agency. Their defense is good, if young, but their offense is dreadful.
They won't be as bad as they were last season, because it's damn near impossible to be that bad two seasons in a row, but they're at least 2-3 years from the playoffs.

Only if they totally revamp their offense like the Saints did last offseason and only if the NFL lets them move to the NFC West instead of the AFC West. If they played in another division, they might have a shot, but unfortunately for them, they play in the hardest division in football right now.

No. They are still the worst team in the NFL unless the entire NFL disappears and the Raiders are left to draft every player in the entire NCAA that they want.

not this season, it appears they will have a rookie starting at quarterback, and they did nothing to improve their offensive line thus far...their defense appears like they could be good again, but they still need improvement against the run...finally, i can't see a coach who is younger than a number of his players being respected completely by the team
the raiders are a few years away in my opinion

No, their going to lose Randy Moss and they don't have a good offense. If they draft a qb, then their offensive line is not going to be able protect the qb. Either way, their NOT going to be close to the playoffs. The AFC is too strong for them.

HELL NO. They dont have a o-line and if they draft jamarcus or quinn they will be running for their life the whole season. If they draft calvin johnson he cant throw the ball to himself. Once they get a o-line a decent qb i would say yea but until then no.

I bleed sliver and black, but until they get a new owner, and a new staff with a sense of what "talent" is, I'm afraid not. Nix the team, buy new players, start again.
