The video card is the most noticeable issue, Post your price range and AGP or PCI express. I'll look back later and make a recomendation. I hope you have one of these, if not there's not alot we can do.

I mostly play battle field 2:special forces alot, when I get in a game online, it appears a bit laggy/glitchy for the first 45 seconds or so... not much of a problem, but, based on my computers specs, which part of my PC could I upgrade to see the biggest change for the better when I play games? This is just a computer from best buy, so its not that high performance and thats it

Upgrading RAM and video card are never a bad idea if you play games. However if its only bad for the first 45 seconds I don't think its your hardware thats causing this problem at all. Chances are either your internet is not fast enough, the server your connecting to is slow or overloaded, or the game is doing something for the first 45 seconds to get it ready for playing (maybe downloading skins/maps/etc..) If the game plays just fine after that 45 seconds there won't be any hardware upgrade you can do to change the performance of the first 45 seconds its slow.

They are things that can only be discovered after hundreds and hundreds of trials. And of course, strict restriction needs to be in place. However, because the basis of science is always changing due to new discoveries, we need to also have sympathy to the drug company as well. They are not miracle makers, they only try to make profits by selling something that they "think" might help other people. Imagine the world without antibiotics and other medication, how many people would have to die? If we agree that science can be changed, the drug company might not have an excuse of increasing medication prices because of law suit. Also if we look at any other area that has used the socialist system it has bogged down and failed to live up to its Utopian promise. No system is perfect but open and free market is the best out there.

i would upgrade the ram to either 1 or two gb9(1024mb or 2056mb), and also upgrade your video card to XFX GeForce 7600 GT / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card which is about 150$
if yu want a cheaper solution the EVGA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB PCIe is 100$
i would also reccomend for 150$ the ATI Radeon X1600 Pro 512MB PCIe
another idea would be for 75$ EVGA GeForce 7300 GT 512MB PCIe
these can all be purchased at a number of websites such as tigerdirect.com(my personal favorite)
newegg.com
and many more

I am assuming you are running PC2700 Ram? I would get the Corsair Extreme Overclocking Ram. I have 1.5 gigs of it and Its been overclocked for 5 years now. Works awesome.
I have a PNY Geforce 6600 vid card but I am going to get an ATI, more stable for BF2.

BF2 is a memory hog, I would get more memory, 2 gigs preferrably, and a better video card. In fact with a AMD sempron processor you might think about saving your money and getting a whole new computer.
