You are not supposed to tighten a truss rod, all you are supposed to do , is slightly turn it until the moon shaped curve of it straightens the neck of the guitar! A truss rod is shaped like a half moon. When you look down the neck of a guitar, and it is bowed, you turn the truss rod, until the bend of the truss rod straightens the neck out straight, then you stop! You then check the neck, and see if it is straight where you want it! Personally, I would take it to a shop, or let an experienced guitar player that has done this before work on it!

YOU Loosened the Truss rod 3 full TURNS In most cases it only Requires a Quarter Turn or so 3 full turns is WAY TOO MUCH You might have just warped your neck Permanently This is why if you don't know What your doing You can Ruin the neck with An inexperienced Person Adjusts their Trust rod As soon as you can Take it to A Luthier And have them Fix it If they can You might have Just Screwed the neck up for good I just Hope for Your sake The Neck is a bolt on because you can replace it Because if it is a set neck you can't replace the neck otherwise Your guitar is useless

I would take it to a guitar repair shop, shouldn't cost very much. If you tightened it w/ the strings on that is the problem, you need to take the strings off first.

My guitar takes an allen wrench to adjust it. You may have ran out of adjustment. Might be new neck or new guitar time.
