I love Quentin Tarantino. I think he is an incredibly gifted screenwriter and auteur. Unfortunately, as his films are usually packed with sex and violence, most people tend to gravitate to his films for purely superficial, entertainment-minded reasons, and as such very few realize his artistic merit.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't go that far. He is one hell of a writer though. He really hasn't giving great writing since Pulp Fiction, although some of Kill Bill's dialogue was great. He is definatley one of the best writers out there. I'm afraid he isn't a better writer than than Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby, Crash, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers, and Casino Royale). But he is one of the best triple threats today.

i love QT, i love True Romance , Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Natural Born Killers etc. but i have to admit i think it is impossible to name one person the best at such a wide and varied industry, he is astoundingly good at what he does but it is impossible to tell how someone else would have worked with what he had.

his movies are fun, i'll give you that, but calling him the BEST is way off. i mean, most of his stuff has been basically stolen from other movies and combined into a single film.
