Does this sentence make sense or correct ??
i know once it was a great country is the right way but i want to know if this one makes any sense

It's not grammatically correct. If you want to keep it in Yoda style, but have it be grammatically correct, you should change it to "A great country it once was."

No. It doesn't really flow. It would sound much better if you said, "It was once a great country."

It makes enough sense for a person to understand what is meant, but it 's incorrect (poor) sentence structure. Grammatically, it's an anacoluthon.

i don't know the actual context, or whether there really is a context, but it sounds ok only if it is taken from a poem. so, in daily life, of course we don't say it like this, but for art's sake, it may be considered "correct".

Still not perfect but better... much better.
