No, because human intelligence has nothing to do with studying. However, it is safe to say that high school drop outs are less educated (simply because they haven't spent as much time learning). As for home schoolers, I would say that they can be just as intelligent and educated as a person who went to public/private school.
I wonder what makes you ask this question.

High school dropouts: Many are stupid, but most are just lazy. Many also got involved with either substance abuse or (the girls) illicit sex and ended up pregnant. Overall, I'd say that no more then 15% drop out for a good reason; these are the ones that end up getting their GEDs, etc. (If you look at the above posts, you can see examples of that 15%.) ;-D
Are home schoolers stupid: Usually, no. In fact, it's usually the opposite; kids are home schooled because their public schools are cruddy and their parents can't afford or don't want to waste monet on private schooling. It's also common for home schooled kids to outscore the kids in public and private schools. ;-D

The word "stupid" is a pejorative and unnecessary in a discussion of this nature. High school dropouts do lose out in many ways, not the least of which is a job that pays well. Home schoolers, on the other hand, may miss out on certain narrow topics but usually turn out to be much more well-informed that their public-school peers.

Actually, NO. I have found that college graduates are more ignorant than some high school drop outs. And home schooled well I won't go there as I really am not to knowledgeable there. I guess more realistically what I have seen is that these brilliant college people have NO common sense. So that high school drop outs come across as smarter, more intelligent.

Home schoolers aren't stupid- they're being homeschooled and getting an education. However, I don't agree with being homeschooled because jobs require you to work on different types of projects with many different types of people, and you can't get that complete experience if you're being homeschooled.
When it comes to high school dropouts, I think they made a stupid decision, but I don't think they're necessarily stupid people. My boyfriend didn't drop out of school, but he gets some crappy grades- However, ask him anything about any little "useless knowlege", and he'll tell you every little detail. Same with any kind of computer program or graphic design detail- he's excellent at it! Point is- for some people, school isn't their thing. They can know everything else in the world but not be able to pass a math test.
Back to dropping out being a bad idea. Look, you're in highschool, you've gone through at LEAST 9-10years of school- why put all that to waste? Just stick it out for the next two years so you can graduate and get a job. Even if you graduated with all Ds, you have a better chance at getting a job than someone who didn't graduate at all. Which really, it's a bad thing to base it on, considering I can name a few straight A students with no common sense.

I think home schooled kids probably get a better education than in public school, except they are missing out on all the socialization so may not have people skills. Drop outs can range from not so bright to very intelligent. It depends WHY they dropped out, because they could not learn properly, they were on drugs, they were slackers, or if they dropped out for their own safety. I know many people who dropped out of high school because they feared for their life.

Yes and no.High school drop-outs are foolish. Homeschooloers are super smart. I homeschooled since the 2nd grade and up until the beggining of 9th. My freshman year at high school was my first year at a public school. I have a college-age reading level while some of my peers at school can't even spell words as simple as constitution! Homeschoolers are definitely smarter than kids who go to public or private school.

I married a HS dropout, and he's far far from stupid. He joined the military, got his GED, and ended up graduating from culinary school.
Homeschooled kids aren't stupid, their problem is usually that they're under-socialized and don't have friends. A friend of mine is home-schooling her daughter and thankfully she isn't socially awkward because her mom actually cares about play time and having her around other kids. Plus her mom's intelligent and cares about her learning.
So not everyone turns out stupid.
