Hitters are always more important than pitchers in every league, unless of course you can have a stacked rotation. dice-k will no doubt be a great starter, scouts know what they're talking about and nobody throws down over 100 million dollars on a player unless you're sure they're worth the price. With that being said, a player who plays 5-6 times a week is far more valuble than a player who plays twice a week tops, there are always starters on the FA lists for you to pick up, and rotate in and out each week with the better matchups. at some point in the season everyone hits a slump, and while soriano has an entire week to make up for a bad game, dice-k's slump stats will most likely be irrecoverable. Soriano's been bounced arround the league the past few years, and no matter what team he's on he's still done well, take the proven player, you won't be disapointed.

A top 5 fantasy producer with tremendous power, the ability to steal 30 sacks and drive in 110-120 RBi, hit .300 and score over 100 runs for anyone who goes once every 5 days....not even close! I wouldnt trade Soriano for Santana let alone an unproven pitcher who had one very good game! Dice-K should be an outstanding pitcher, not taking anything away from him at all but seriously Soriano is a 5 category Superstar that plays everyday in a pretty loaded lineup.

I like the Dice-K side of the deal alot. I don't see Soriano winning the closer role in Atlanta from Wickman.

It totally depends on which you need more. Do you need an awesome starter? Or do you need outfield help. Personally, I would rather have soriano on my team. He is a stud.

nO, Soriano is proven, Dice K just had one good game and I would'nt go trading the farm for him.
