has anyone here when to the clinic and they gave you a urine pregnancy test and it came out negative but at the end it was false and you are really pregnant!!
cause i am 12 days late on my period ..my breast are starting to hurt alot more and i went to the clinic and i wanted a blood test but they only gave me a urine test and it came out negtive but i have a feeling that is false..and i want to wait a little longer to take another test?

There can be false negative results from time to time. I would purchase a pregnancy test at a pharmacy and take the test with your FIRST MORNING'S URINE. At this time of the day, your urine has the most chemicals in it and you will get a better idea of what is going on. If you are still unsure, go to your doctor and ask for a blood test.

There are no pregnancy tests on the market that are 100% accurate so it could have just been wrong. Take another test (or two :)) in a few days right when you wake up. Morning urine is the best to use because HcG (the pregnancy hormone) has had more time to build up. It will be more accurate that way. You also might not have enough HcG in your body yet that would be detected by a hpt. You should in a few days.

With my last pregnancy I was 10 days late before I had a positive test. I had 6 negative tests before that ~ even the day before it was negative. When was the last time you took a pregnancy test?
Take another test and if it is still negative you should go see your doctor

Urine tests commonly give a false negative result. Do you have health insurance? Try going to the doctor...they can give you a blood test...no false results there.

Did they test you first thing in the morning?
Go to a store now, buy a home pregnancy test, and take it first thing tomorrow morning.
Or, you just have to wait to see if you get your period.
False negatives are common, so if you doubt te accuarcy of the result, you need to get another test done.

Have you tried an EPT? You could get them at any pharmacy or at a market store like Wal-Mart. I would do an EPT those are 100% accurate. And it comes out negative I suggest you go to your doctor and ask what's wrong because that don't sound right! wish you the best!

false negatives do happen, but false positives don't really. i would wait a few more days then retest or just go to a regular dr instead of a clinic.
however, you can also think about stress in your life, diet, exercise, all of these can cause a period to come later than expected.

Another unine test is probably in order.
One test can easily be wrong, but two tests far, far less so. They're cheap and easy, so just do it.
