Northern Pakistan which is not controlled by the Government in Islamabad is a sanctuary and Musharraf does not have a firm grip in the country as a whole due to the recent unrest. Pakistan has nukes also. The Spring offensive Code named Achilles has liberated Helmand Province from the Taliban.
Opium is being used to fund the Taliban and erradication is difficult because the farmers loyalties shift frequently in difficult to govern Afghanistan. For centuries the Government in Kabul has never governed the south of the country effectively because it is difficult to get there because roads simply don't exist. The Pathan tribesmen from where the Taliban draw their forces, straddle the Afghan and Pakistan Border. (For Liberals They are on both sides) So a NATO soldier may be shooting an Afghan Taliban or a Pathan Cousin from Pakistan. That is how the Taliban still exist because of sanctuary in Pakistan and Iran. They are there too.

Ya know, If we had sent all those troops into Afghanistan, instead of on a wild WMD chase, we wouldn't be seeing the resurgence of the Taliban.

Bush doesn't care about these terrorists..
The "War on Terror" is a pretext for making people support a war that's for corporate interest: securing all oil extraction areas and building the pipe through Afghanistan.

He doesn't care about terrorists that "hate freedom and liberty" otherwise he wouldn't have entered Iraq. Iraq executed terrorists btw ;)

I am trying to not be rude because you very well might be stupid enough to not understand how all of this works but HONESTLY??? How could you ask this question... Do you have any idea how hard it is to kill terrorists? They are everywhere and I agree they are like cockroaches scuttling and hiding all over the world. Seriously what are people being taught these days?

It's difficult to deal with the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan when most of our soldiers are busy guarding the oil pipeline we're building!
