29 and a half. No. Really I think the age would be 10 or 11. But who really cares. If your kid wants to hunt Easter eggs I would let em'!!!! Have a safe and Happy Easter!

I know some 13 year olds that still hunt for easter eggs and get baskets from the easter bunny because their younger siblings still believe. But, i think that once a child is 13 they are a teenager and want to be treated like one so try asking if they would rather not do hunts anymore.

When my girls were 12 and 13 we had colored eggs because it was fun and something to do. When Easter came they were both upset that their father and I didn't hide any for them. I thought they were to old. But they said that it was fun and no one was EVER to old to hunt for easter eggs. So their father and I hid the eggs.
After all the eggs were found (2 dozen) my girls told us to go into the house for a while. About 15 minutes later the girls came in handed each of us an emplty egg carton and told us to go find the eggs.
Can you imagine two 40 years running around the yard searching to eggs? It was the best Easter we ever had!

I don't think kids are ever too old. I have my husband hunt for easter eggs! Isn't that funny? He hunts for the eggs and each egg has a note or a small gift! It's great! You can have a teen hunt for eggs and put lots of cool things inside. You can fold up gift certificates, favors, promises, and many other cool things.

The appropriate age for a kid to stop hunting foro easter eggs would probably be 12. Sixth graders and older begin to lose interest in the idea to searching for eggs. If they show interest, let them do it. My daughter stopped in sixth grade.

I'm 52 and I still look for Easter eggs along with my spouse. Just because we have no children doesn't mean we can't have fun. Yes, for children, they will reach an age where they will no longer be interested in Easter as they did when they were younger, but once they get married...guess what.
Oh yeah, and because I'm 52, I also have to look for eggs the throughout the rest of the year because the wife keeps moving them in the frig.

I think if you are going to do it with your family and friends, kids of any age - even teenagers - would have fun with it. We just got back from our city sponsored Easter Egg hunt in the park, and they had age divisions only up to age 10.

they should never start!
Easter is a pagan holiday celebrated before Christ came to earth. Whoever tells you that its the date Jesus was resurrected is telling a lie, and what does God say about lies? see 2 Thess 2:9-11
Unfortunately, when the pagan Roman government took over the early Christian congregation in 325 a.d., they forced all the Christians to begin participating in their pagan festivals to false gods. It is something that "the only true God" (John 17:3) considers "the unclean thing" (2 Cor 6:17)
Some folks dont know exactly what they are doing or why. many have been decieved into practicing rituals that actually were designed to honor false gods. it is important for anyone who believes anything to really know what they are doing and why, not just have blind faith that what they are told is correct. The One whom Jesus worships and calls "the only true God" (John 17:3) inspired the entire Bible and celebrating pagan rooted holidays under the deception of christianity is like spray-painting a dog turd gold and then trying to sell it to God as a real gold nugget!

Well, my siblings and I are all in our 20's and 30's...and my mother still does an egg hunt for us. Odd, maybe...but the prizes are cooler now that we are older: money, lottery tickets, wal mart and home depot gift cards...and of course some candy. I think it is a tradition that brings my family together, and lets us be kids again! We look forward to it each year!
