Recently, received an email from an individual, offering employment with his company, "Corus," a steel company in London. I have worked for a company in London before and they were honest and reliable. Has anyone else heard from this guy, Mr. Philippe Varin, CEO?

It is a scam.
You get sent cheques which you pay into your account. You then use Western Union to send the money from those cheques to them. The cheques will eventually bounce and they will have your money.
Why would one of the largest steel companies in the world conduct their business in this way ?

lemme tell you how it works:

They tell you to receive the money on there behalf. The seller thinks its a genuine buyer because they get a name and information of a real person from UK or USA whom they can contact. They imagine this person has long been associated with the company or person they are providing goods and services to or buying the same from. So they have little doubts in paying the money.

Once they send you the money, you are asked to keep a certain percentage and wire the rest via western union or money gram to them. This works for you a couple of times, before the real people who are scammed out of money come knocking on your door for recovery and at some point, also bring the law / authorities with them. And in that case, you are the scape goat.

:)

Sorry mate, this is a cruel world and money doesnt come so easy. Simply by receiving money for someone else and keeping your percentage of it seems too easy, its not real then.
