About three months ago, I left to go overseas, I return in a month.
A man whom I fell deeply in love with before I left, admitted to me, he felt for me, but when he found out I was leaving he suppressed all his feelings for me. ( his last gf left him, and he's a pisces so he dwells on things)
I was left heartbroken, But I forgave him accepted it and we’ve stayed good friends, Were even closer than before.
Although he never reveals his feelings about me, be they negative or positive.
I still love him, but strangely lately, I've been having very vivid dreams of him starring at me intensely and him trying to move his body close to me, or even at times on-top of me, although the dreams have an erotic intensity, there’s never any physical contact apart from soft touching.
Do you think dreams have the ability to pick up others emotions, a cross connection? or is it just my wants and needs because I still love him and I'm going home soon.

If you make direct eye contact with another known human in your dreams, and the person looks the same in your dream as they do in real life, you are most likely seeing the other person for real. Either he is actively looking for you on the astral plane, or you are actively looking for him. During sleep the soul travels at times, everyone knows this. If you get real good at it you can do it deliberately and meet up with others on the astral plane. This isn't some new-age nonsense, people have been doing it for millenia and everyone knows about it. If you don't want this to continue, ask for protection before you go to sleep and actively visualise a white light anchoring your soul to your body at night until it stops. Good luck. By the way you can research nocturnal astral projection at any reputable website or try Wikipedia.

I think it's the later. What you are wanting and projecting them into your dreams as the issue of how you feel for him is basically unresolved.

Maybe it's time broach the subject with him. Reassure him that you have such deep love for him that you would never just leave him as his former girlfriend did. She is not you and you are not her.

Otherwise you are going to continue to have all this unresolved emotional tension within you.
