I take it everyday. There's nothing wrong with it. But sometime the trains take a long time to come.

By the way, some people have such bad perceptions of NYC. Crime happens everywhere in the world and NYC isn't even in the top 40 cities with the highest crime rates! It really is a relatively safe place. I've lived in NYC my entire life and the worst thing I've ever seen is a minor car crash. You just have to watch out for certain neighborhoods, but the subway isn't as bad as you guys think it is!

Way too many no(s) here people. NYC is the greatest place on this earth. Infinitely better than Disney World or any other theme park. NYC should be 1st on your list of things that absolutely must be done soon. The subways are amazing today compared to before Rudi Giuliani. They are safe and fun unless you get on during the week in rush hours and then they can be aggravating to distraction. Just be smart enough to avoid them at peak hours. They can take you everywhere any person could ever want to go in 50 lifetimes. NYC is the best of the best and voted friendliest major city in the world. Thank god for Rudi.

I live in NYC, of course I've been on the subway. I take it everyday to school downtown. It's a very crowded place most of the times so everyday you got to push and shove without hard feelings because that's the way we New Yorkers are. It's not scary at all either. I suggest you bring an iPod or MP3 to listen to if you never took the subway before.

Yes, I work in NYC and the subway is the best way to get around besides walking. Make sure that you hold on to the handrail because I fell on to this Asian couple when I first went on the train.

Yea, it's ok. When I visited NYC I took the subway all around, but sometimes I didnt know when my stop was up, or what stop I should take.. other than that, not a big deal.. cheap, easy transportation

I went on quite a few during a 4 day stay back in 1999. They ranged from top-of-the-line and brand spankin' new to barely-hanging-onto-their-nuts-and-bolts older-than-dirt. But overall, I felt safe and mostly uncrowded during my short stay.
