I thought that Finding Nemo was the better film based on

Characters: Finding Nemo had a more memorable set of characters and I don't think anyone in Lion King gave a performance to match Ellen's Dorie.

Imagination: I thought that everything that was done with the fish from the fish doing impressions to the seagulls all sayng "Mine" which to this day I think of everytime I hear seagulls (tell me you don't).

Visuals: Ofcourse Lion King wasn't didn't use CG animation, but the way the visuals were concieved I thought was superior. Alladin could compete, but not The Lion King in my opinion.

Story: The Lion King edges out Finding Nemo in this category because there probably weren't a whole lot of people moved to tears by Finding Nemo, but it was much funnier and again, I think it was full of more memorable characters.

What did you think?

I don't think you should compare The Lion King and Finding Nemo in Visuals because the movies were almost 10 years apart, so FN could obviously beat The LK easily. I still like the Lion King better. The only reason most people like Finding Nemo better is because Finding Nemo is more recent. If Lion King came out the same year Finding Nemo did, people would probably like them both equally and not like the fish over the lion.

Lion King is the best....you cant even compare the movies because, they are like 7 or 8 years apart, of course the animation, the sound, and voice overs in finding nemo are going to be better. But overall the lion King is still the better movie, the movie had more meaning to it then finding nemo. All finding Nemo was about mostly making people laugh....lion king was more about meaning..... and giving you somthing to think about when you get done watching it. So yes Lion King is better, hands down.

Finding Nemo! This is why:

Music- Lion King rules! Pixar music was never anything to get exited about. C'mon. Who can hum a tune from Nemo besides the one from the end credits? 4 points for Lion King.

Story- Little fish, big story. Lots of different aspects. I love the transitions between the tank and the ocean. Kept it exiting. AND all the characters gain something from the experience. And I love how Pixar managed to make the story without the use of a villain!! Really creative! Meanwhile, Simba's really the only one that really gets anything. What does Timon learn? hmm.. Friendship!... no wait... he already had that.... 3 points for Nemo.

Visuals: Both are awesome. Normally Lion King would win because traditional amimation was always just special for me. +3 for Lion King. But up against Nemo? Whoa! I just LOVED the animation for this thing! Fish are, like, the plainest animals around and look at what Pixar made them! +3 for Nemo.

Characters: Nemo rules.
In the Lion King, Simba's the only "main" person. And Nala plays the classic "Disney girl," having to be saved and only a small role... and of course, gets her man. *rolls eyes*

But in NEMO!! omg! EVERY character is important, somehow!! Even the most minor are at least in a key group! I mean, really! How often does a Disney GIRL get something other then a man and a castle?! DORY gets a new "family" and survives her short-term memory loss!! 8 points for Nemo!

Total:
Lion King: 7 points
Finding Nemo: 14 points

Well, I loved the Lion King when I was little (how can you not like Rafiki?) and I like Simba's voice, and the music (A Kuna Matata).

As for Finding Nemo, I've seen it once before. It wasn't bad, I just don't remember the characters that well except Bruce that shark (Fish are friends, not food). I love that line.

"Finding Nemo"... just for the humor. The AA-Sharks, the Mine-Mine-Mine Seagulls, the Keanu Reeves-Turtle... and of course Dorie's forgetfulness and hyper-paranoia.

I loved the "Lion King" when it came out... and I love the songs... but it just can't keep up.

I don't know why people are suggesting Ratatouille... it's barely in theatres, let alone for rent...?? Anyway, whichever movie you ended up choosing... I hope you re-considered the pitcher of Mojitos! What could make a night in with the kids more exciting!? ;-) ::Hiccup!::
