Although I agree with this rule change because of what happened to the Spurs last year I think you should be seeded as your record win and loss. I agree if you win your division you get a spot in the playoff but if your record sucks then you should be at the bottom with the weaker teams. I think if the CAVS and the Bulls have the same record at end then that should be your number 2 and number 3 spot? What do you guys think? Also if the Cavs play Miami does Miami get Home court even if th Cavs have a better record?

The Cavs will have homecourt advantage because they have a better record than Miami. Also, I agree with you on seeding. I don't really care if you are a division leader, the better teams should play the lower and weaker teams.

Given that the regular season schedule doesn't really overweight games within the division, I think you should seed the teams 1-8 based on record without regard to who wins division titles.

As for the Cavs vs. Heat question, the team with the better record gets home court. This was even the case when the division winners got 1-3. As for Cavs vs. Bulls ending up with the same record, it comes down to who won the regular season series between the two. If that doesn't break it, then it's (in order) division record, conference record, record vs. playoff teams in the East, record vs. playoff teams in the West, then net points.

They are only putting one non-division winner as high as 2nd. They Bulls own the tiebreaker against the Cavs as evidenced by right now when they are both 3 games back of the Pistons but Bulls now are #2 and Cavs#5. It doesn't matter anymore anyways since the better record team will get homecourt advantage.

The team with the better record gets home court, so if the Heat play the Cavs, the Cavs will probably get homecourt if the keep a better record than the Heat.

It do no longer count! LOL Miami warmth, Boston Celtics, or the San Antonio Spurs are going to win all of it. perchance the Phoenix Suns, or Orlando Magic. i'm prepared to wager any of those communities will finally end up taking away the Cavs and the Lakers. Neither group is going all the way regardless of their checklist. it incredibly is going to be yet another disenchanted like the Dallas Mavericks the three hundred and sixty 5 days they had the NBA appropriate checklist and have been given placed out through the Golden State Warriors interior the 1st around and that they had the right checklist that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. comparable state of affairs with Cavs and Lakers. interior the Playoffs something happens.LOL There are not any ensures!
