It does have a lot to do with culture. Golf is most associated with whites. Just like football and basketball have predominantly black athletes. It's not racist.... it's just how people were raised and what sports they grew up with.

I dont think alot of blacks enjoy the sport, if so they would play and probably dominate(no offense). Also, country clubs would not allow blacks in for a very long time and prob some still today.

I think its because for so long now Golf is considered a white collar sport (not to say there arent any African American white collars out there), but the stigma that goes with it, it has always been a white sport. You dont see many African American Nascar drivers, or Hockey players. Not many in rowing either, so who knows, would be nice to see a few in these sports...(so my family can stop singing "Nascar is a white trash sport...")
