I am a college graduate, so this question obviously does not apply to me; however, before my older sister decided to become a stay-at-home mom, she was a successful restaurant manager. For the most part, she started at 18 working as a hostess, worked closely with several managers to learn the "ropes" of management, and made manager by age 24. By the time she stopped working she was making more than what I'll be making in the future. (I am presently earning my teaching certification. In Texas, the average teacher makes around 40K.)
