I know that there are many debates on whether Global Warming is actually real and caused by us humans. I have read so many articles about this subject and seen the tv shows that cover it. I just dont understand why we dont just take precautions...it can't hurt us! Why don't we just do it to be on the safe side?

Thanks for the responses! Oh, and if you do quote me, please do it correctly...I wrote, "I know that there are many DEBATES on whether Global Warming is actually real and caused by us humans" not that "global warming is actually real and caused by us humans" as a fact. Thanks!

I agree with you and I to take a gray approach to the subject and say we sure the heck are not helping. You can not deny the impact that humans have on the environment. Look at China with it's lax laws, the place is an environmental nightmare.

Maybe global warming is a battle cry for liberals but hey would it not be better for us and the world if we went green anyway global warming or not? Oh and definitely find a viable alternative to oil. We would make the world a cleaner place cut down on respiratory diseases, acid rain, smog and best of all tell all those crackpot dictators who control all the oil what to go do with themselves! Heck just that alone should be enough for the government and big business to push for change.

Sadly I fear that the US will be left in the dust again. The Japanese and Europe will prefect the new technologies and market them to us and once again this country will of dropped the ball on the next big thing.

"Warming is actually real and caused by us humans" That is not true!... I looked at several graphs on a scientific document that actually stated that the GW is cause by human activities. But this is what I came across; the CO2 emission rates have very little impact on GW. If you look at the graph of nuclear explosions on sun and sun’s temperature changes over the last ten year period and then put it against the earth’s temperature graph, it goes one on top of the other with little fluctuations. In other words these two are directly connected.
No Global Warming scientist ever proved that this connection between sun’s temperature and the earth’s temperature is wrong. Also it is true that GW is happing but no one can prove that it is caused by human other than the companies benefit from this. (Companies produce solar panels/fuel efficient cars, etc)
I am a very open mined person towards, GB and if any of you have a strong explanation why the graph of CO2 emissions doesn’t fit the graph of earth temperature while the graph of earth temperature graph fits the sun’s nuclear energy emission temperature graph, please put that on here as well.
So, “Warming is actually real and caused by us humans”-well depend on your point of view!!!

Actually in scientific circles there is not more debate on global warming, it is accepted observable fact. The planet is warming. True, the causes are not agreed on yet, but the facts is, it's happening and that is dab for the humans! Not sure if it can be stopped, but personally I doubt it. I think our time is running out.

Climate control is out of our control . The democrats just think they are gods ..It's all part of the bigger plan to control the food supply ; conduct search & seizure of our homes after we are taxed to the max until we must rely on our new dictator for a fig leaf . Democrats talk as tho Republicans are rich meanies while they have their own mansions & fleets of SUVS ; private jets & yachts - then they use the poor , down-trodden underprivilaged in Hollywood , to re-enforce how rotten capitalism is .

I would agree with you Unfortunately you & I are labelled as ecofreaks so the government doesn't feel compelled to act. Its allabout money!! We can spend 400 billion on the war on Iraq but not earmark funds to save ourselves In 20 years we'll be laughing at them though

There is no real evidence to support the clainms that either humans are causing climate change or that it will necessarilly be bad. Why all the panic?
