we've a mixture of the two. don't be fooled: Medicare is socialism. Social protection is socialism. Agricultural subsidy is an yet another occasion. Tax breaks for company us of a of america is yet another. Any time the government makes use of our tax money to prop up a application that economically helps any portion of society is socialism. the reward are that farmers do no longer bypass broke and the cost of foodstuff is comparatively good; our elderly are certain some form of earnings and wellbeing care; our companies can compete across the international. i do no longer think of we've ever been basically a unfastened-company u . s . a .. it fairly is in many cases been a mixture and that's labored wonderful for over 2 hundred years.

Practise your logic ability first by answering simpler questions:
- How will cigarette smoking help me win Olympic Games?,
- What are the environmental benefits of driving a Hummer?,
- How do gangs and organized crime benefit our society?,
- The health advantages of tatoos and body piercings, and
- How Alzheimer's helps to develop scientific minds.

Once you become familiar with obfuscation and prevarication your essay will be a breeze to write.

Yes, there are some theoretical advantages like central control, fairer division of benefits and reduction in crime.
These however have never been shown to work in real world, real people being what we are rather than angels.
Actually, enlightened dictatorship is potentially better than either of your two systems - but there is a severe shortage of enlightened dictators as well as willing subjects...

Since in a socialist system, the government controls the means of production and services, they can also control pricing and make sure that the profit motive doesn't become predatory. Assuming an essentially benign, elected, democratic government, they would be able to use oversight to prevent criminal greed from impoverishing the average working-class citizen. Corruption in big business would be MUCH more difficult to sustain, because the owner of the business would be governmental with governmental oversight instead of private.
Lastly, they could provide goods and services too all citizens equatibly instead of the best goods and services being only available to the wealthiest. Things like health care, child care, education would be equalized and universally available.

Remember, there are also terrible DISADVANTAGES to socialism, and we have seen those all too often. You asked for just the advantages though, so I supplied those.

It was a good idea. Take a hit on the taxes then let the govt. handel everything like industry, medical care, banking, basically all the big stuff in society.

But, it couldn't work because it was to expensive to support

It didn't work for the soviets, it isn't working for cuba, china, North Korea either.

There aren't any unless you like living under an authoritarian system the principal underpinning of which is coercion.

Good luck in your effort to put a benign face on that.

The advantage is that the lower-income people are provided for. You don't have as much disparity between the rich and the poor, because the wealth is distributed among everyone.

This, of course, sucks when you've earned your wealth...and it enables the poor to mooch without giving them the motivation to earn their own keep...waitaminnit...it's just like our current welfare system!

Cuba is run by a socialist society. 100% literacy, 100% healthcare, opposed to free enterprise as by the US, 30% healthcare (for the rich), literacy (40%) thats not including the bible belt and the people who voted in the last 2 elections.

NONE. Not one. The entire history of the 20th century proved it. Not one socialized country has ever been economically superior to free-market countries. NOT ONE! EVER!
