Look at the Iraq war. You may see it as our president going against our enemies to protect us, but let's be realistic here.
All the Iraq war is, is our president trying hard to fix his own screw-up!!!! If it wasn't for our failed President Bush, the recruitment drive of the enemy wouldn't be off the charts. Bush has created aggression against our country that will now last an eternity. And American debts that will last an eternity.
GOOD JOB PRESIDENT BUSH!

I don't see anything that Bush has really done in his 2 terms to make him be remembered as a great president. The "war on terror" only ended up causing a civil war in Iraq... same deal as Vietnam.... the only way he can redeem himself is if he manages to actually establish a firm democracy in Iraq.... but even then, so many innocent lives have been taken over there because of this war... I don't know, I can't believe he got re-elected. And to all the idiots.... Islam has nothing to do with this.... Islam strictly forbids Muslims to force people to convert. This is a political problem, not a religious one if you have any clue about why the 9/11 attacks occured and what the motives behind the terrorists really are... they're not trying to convert America to Islam... they're trying to get a land they were promised a long time ago because they are now refugees due to the western nations' failure to grant them what was promised.... a homeland. There's a lot more to the story than what most of the uneducated people believe. Without Bush and the terrorists, this world would be such a better place.

Becasue it's NOT his fault there's a crisis. Saddam Hussein was supporting terrorism before Bush ran for office, If America's enemies didn't have Iraq as an excuse, they'd find another... they've already got plenty and none of them are valid. He didn't "create" aggression against our country. It was already there.

Let's see--problems with terrorists go much further back than you do, know-nothing. Terrorists from Iran are interfering in Iraq. Even Democrats admit that. Who's the leader of Iraq? The rabble-rouser Ahmanijad, who, during Carter's administration in the '70s took over the American embassy. You can't very well lay that problem at Bush's feet. We owe it all to Jimmy Carter, whose fumbling foolishness we deal with to this very day.
Are you old enough to remember the 1st time terrorists tried to take down the World Trade Center? The blind old obastardo who cooked that up is in jail now. Bush wasn't in office then. I believe that Filthy Bill was--right?
I'm sure that you weren't even a gleam in your father's eye when Islamic/Arab terrorists hijacked airplanes full of people--back in the '70s again. They took one of the passengers--a Navy serviceman, beat him to death, and threw his body off the plane onto the tarmac.

This has been going on for a very long time. Bush didn't start it, but he's had to deal with it--including the deaths of thousands of unsuspecting people on 9/11.

You are an ignorant little person. Go back to school on Monday and study some recent American history.

I agree. So how do we fix it? Stay and make it right, or leave and take our chances that all those who hate us will stop doing so when we do? Any suggestions? There is an entire government that could use any and all viable solutions to the problem you have so wisely stated. So far, not one of them has come up with a real solution to diffuse the problem. If we stay, we run the chance of pissing off everyone in the Middle East and beyond. If we leave, we run the chance of loosing all credibility as a superpower, and WILL look weak to our enemies. Is there a common middle ground to be had?

Part of the war is about Oil as well. If were at war with the Middle Eastern countrys Bush loses money with his ''precious'' Oil companys and loses money with investemens on Oil. I know, Bush is the stupidest president ever. People are saying hes ''protecting'' us when he planily accused Iraq and said tghey had ''Weapons of Mass Destrtuction''. Were are the weapons?...Oh yeah, North Korea just launched a Necular Bomb test. All we had to do is become more stable with our country security and tighten the borders more. But, Bush had to go into Iraq to make a ''Democratic Goverment''. He worrys too much about other Countrys, the ruler of the other countrys will take care of themselfs, you just take care of the country you were made President of. Now, hes trying to fix his screw-up and trying to ''show'' us that this war will be successfull. The War has basiclly gotten nowere, the real point of invading Iraq was to find weapons. No weapons in Iraq. Now the whole war is going to turn into a World War Three, Isreal is going to ally with the rebels of Iraq and Afghanastan, they would create a Milta and then ally with North Korea and Russia, two of the most power hungry countrys in the world. Then they will evuentlly launch a Nuecular Bomb in the middle of S.F. and L.A. and both of the citys are burned to the ground. Then the U.S. will freak out and trying to get allies such as England, France, Italy, and encourage them to try and take down the terriosts. I see a World War Three to be honest with you. So this war is pointless and we should just send the troops home.

He does not have the grace or guts to say he lied to get a war going. He does not have the balls to admit it is a huge mistake that has cost thousands of lives. This is a contest of wills now and all about his ego. The little coward would not go to Viet Nam when it was his own time to fight for his country. He hid. Now he sends thousands to die or be maimed for life because he is too stubborn to walk away from it. Doesn't matter what the people of this country want.....his will be done. I hope there is still an America by the time this fool leaves office. Impeach him now before we are into WW3. By the way, Bush has done nothing to save my butt from anything. All he has done is make us the most hated nation on earth and in history. He has made more terrorists than ever had before and by the way ...none of the hijackers were Iraqi. There was NO connection between 9/11 and Iraq.

The threat against our country existed before Iraq. Terrorist attacks have been an ongoing threat for many years.

Hmmm...I see you are a product of the failed Marxist/socialist PC public school system, that teaches that good is really evil, and that evil is actually good.

I suppose it was George Bush's doing, when he was a teenager in 1972, that the Muslim Palestinian terrorists siezed and murdered the Israeli athletes at the Olympics in Munich? And every one of the literally THOUSANDS of Islamic acts of terrorism since then, leading up to his presidency?

My money says you work in drywall hanging or highway maintenance or auto repair, and will never develop your cognitive faculties to the point where you can contribute anything meaningful to a discussion of world affairs.

Number one America was in debt way before President Bush took over office. Number two we needed to go up against the middle east they have been a problem from the beginning of time. The spread of Islam needs to be stopped as they preach convert or be beheaded. This is why we needed to go up against the middle east
