The NFC West is wide open in my opinion, they are as talented at the skill positions as any team in football, need to shore up that offensive line, add a couple of impact players on defense, and make some good solid draft picks that can actually help the team down the road. The organization has been a laughing stock for years, they finally have some talent, better hope Bidwell doesn't mess it up again!

Nope. There is just something about them that doesn't work, like a curse. They had potential last year. A veteran QB backed up by a promising young first round draft pick, two Pro Bowl wide receivers, a good running back for the first time in years, an average O-line, and an average defense. I thought they would go 8-8 (and I am not a fan of the Cards) but they still finished with the fifth overall pick in the draft. If they really work on their O-line and their D they have potential, but not next year. The draft won't be able to fill all of their holes. They need improvement all over the O-line and some help on D, where they have only 2 or 3 good players. Also, they should not have let Leonard Davis slip away. As a Cowboys fan I am happy we got him where he will play guard. Remember a few years ago when he played guard in Arizona? He did well, went to the Pro Bowl? They should have moved him back to guard.

The Arizona Cardinals have a real chance this year, depending on a variety of things. They've definitely stepped up in the offseason by signing T Mike Gandy from the Bills and CB Roderick Hood from the Eagles. Both will probably become starters at their respective positions. Leonard Davis was way overrated, and it was probably a good decision to let him go, considering the obscene amount of money the Cowboys threw at him to sign him.
On offense, the Cardinals are solid. They have Heisman-winning QB Matt Leinart, one of the best young guns in the league today, with perennial Pro Bowler Edge James in the backfield. Their greatest asset is their receivers, with Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, and Bryant Johnson forming arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the league. Despite the heavy criticism of their offensive line last year, the unit was actually quite productive in the second half of the season. The addition of Gandy to replace Davis will be essential to the success of the unit this year, and the unit's success will directly impact how well the Cardinals offense performs. If the line can hold up, Edge will return to former form, and Leinart will make his first Pro Bowl.
It is a bit more of a question mark when it comes to the defense. SS Adrian Wilson, one of the team's lone bright spots and Pro Bowl selections last year, has proven himself to be one of the premier safeties in the league last season. His leadership skills will be counted on to help the young but promising Eric Green and Antrel Rolle emerge into decent cornerbacks. The addition of Hood will also help. Karlos Dansby headlines a solid but unspectacular linebacker unit that also includes Gerald Hayes and Orlando Huff. Look for this position to be improved at some point in the draft. The biggest key to the defense's success will be how the defensive line does this year. The loss of Bertrand Berry to injury last year was a devastating blow to the unit, and both him and opposite end Chike Okeafor is approaching the twilight of his career. Darnell Dockett is a promising talent as DT, but he will really need to step his game up this year. Most mock drafts have the Cardinals picking DE Gaines Adams with the No. 5 overrall pick; such an addition would drastically improve this unit.
The Cardinals stole Ken Whisenhunt away from the Steelers for the head coaching job, and it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Whisenhunt was one of the most coveted head coaching candidates last year, and for good reason. The man is motivational, talented, and only 44 years old. He has the real capability of becoming the next Cowher or Gruden.
Yes, the Cardinals defintiely have it, and I think they will bring it... watch out NFC West.

A lot will depend on how well they improve their offensive line (right now it is pretty.....well offensive!). They have the skill guys to compete with anyone but Lienart needs to have time and they need to open running lanes to help the passing game. Overall they seem like one of the teams that could be this years N.O. Saints as long as they address a couple of needs but love the coaching change....Dennis Green was not the answer! Should be the best year ever for the fans in the desert since the team arrived.

They have a good, young QB, a great RB and very good WR's. However, they need to rebuild their offensive line and also need to shore up their pass defense a lot. The run defense is average but why run when you can pass against the third worst pass defense in the league. Better hope that they draft a few CB's and OL's in this year's draft and maybe get a few free agents to shore up some holes.

If Edgerrin has a better year and the defense steps up I could see them getting a wild-card spot or something next season. They hit a serious string of bad luck along with Washington last season. The victims of one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history in my opinion, loseing to the raiders, etc.

They have a lot of talent on offense that gets wasted due to their terrible offensive line. If they can fix up their offensive line and their defense which isn't that good either then maybe they can be a pretty good team.

They definitely have the talent. Im not really sure what is wrong with them, they have a very talented offense, and a good defense. Maybe it was the play calling, and Denny is gone now so....maybe they will be successful.
