That's up to the people involved...there are plusses and minuses to each one. Nothing at all wrong with any of 'em...as long as you are happy, do what works for you.

None of it is the best answer to live by until you are ready for Marriage. Live-in is not a good alternative even as practice or whatever excuse. Marriage is the best way to discover IT and grow everything in your life with that special person who wants to share everything with you.

live in relationship. you have to know the person a long time before you get into marriage. you know all those highs and lows you go through in 3 or 4 years? he/she has to be there with you through all of that and vise versa to understand just how your relationship works if it does.
best of luck.

Marriage
For me marriage is the best thing that has happened in my life, but it ain't for everyone and you must choose wisely before you venture into a commitment like this!
God Bless and Best Wishes.

One mans meat is another mans poison.... Marriage is like a funeral, only you get to smell your own flowers... A groom is a fella who gives up a barrel of fun for a peck of trouble..... I believe that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place...... Single and very Happy.....

My partner and I live together and consider ourselves married in the pratical and even legal sense (common law and we're Canadian), but we will have the party that symbolises the commitment, relationship and love we have for eachother already in a few years time. I don't think it will change a thing. It's more of a tradition/status thing for us.

Both. We lived together for about 3 months before getting engaged, 6 months later we were married. I say whatever works best.

well I am married and love it so I'd say married, however if you want that committed relationship without worrying about having to pay out for a divorce in the long run if it doesn't work out I'd say live-in relationship
