I think she opened the door for understanding and compromise. I applaud her efforts. I guarantee that had she been male and Republican, these people would be cheering her on. It took Reagan and Gorbachov talking to end the cold war. The years of silence did nothing. The problem is that Bush and Cheney have given the USA such a bad image in the world that most people outside the USA hate us. I think Pelosi has more brains in her little finger than Bush has in his whole fat head. Cheney......we won't even go there. ......he is still trying to lie to the people about the Iraq and Al Qaeda connection. Those two idiots, aided by Rice have made far more terrorists with their stupid actions than we ever had before.

I don't think it made any effect, because Syria and Israel and all of the others involved already knew what their options were and have participated in discussions. It kind of reminds me when Henry Kissinger goes off on a trip to do the same thing. Not much happens. And yes, Bush overreacted.

It never hurts to talk. During the Cold War we talked with Russia and Cuba all the time. I don't think it will really help though either. Both Syria and Iran say one thing to the "infidels" and another to their own people. It's better to have a snake by it's tail than not have it at all.

She is a traitor she had no business going over there and speaking for America and Israel. She is an embarrassment to this country. Bush should use everything against her he can find.

No, she is a traitor and why would those Muslims pay attention to a woman? Instead they are laughing at her behind her back.
