So, in your mind, 2 weeks of below average temperatures override the fact that I rode my bike in February in short sleeves in New Hampshire. It overrides the fact that both the Winni-derby (ice fishing) and sled dog races were postponed. It overrides the fact that we had the latest measurable snowfall in state history.
I have not yet bought into the whole "global warming" thing, but assuming that 2 weeks (or even one year) dictates a trend shows how short-sighted some people are.
Comparing average temperatures from 10 years ago with average monthly temperatures this year, there is an upward trend. Whether this is "global warming" or a fluke, we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, scientists have been saying for a long time that global warming will produce extreme heat and cold, even as the overall temperature of the planet rises.
Also snow does provide conclusive evidence that there is no global warming and it is rather strange logic to assume that it does.
By the way, what is the harm in adapting some green technologies here and there? It will make you, your children, and grandchildren healthier in the long run.

Our temperatures have been 20 degrees above average and our rainfall a fraction of what it should be. We are already under a drought advisory.
Before you get smart you ought to study. One of the effects of global warming, and only idiots doubt it, it is a matter of whether humans contribute to it, is that weather patterns change. Some areas will be hotter, some colder, some wetter, some drier. It is the global mean temperature that is important, not local variations. You need to know just what you are talking about. This question is just a display of ignorance.

Uno, Bush is not a scientist. Neither is Cheney...so how they can claim to be expert eludes me. Global warming has been talked about by scientists for the last 20 years at least. Do some actual research and don't take someone's word on it. Chart temperatures for the last 20 years and see what the graph looks like. Count the numbers of major tornados or hurricanes. Is it increasing or decreasing? Figure out if the levels of the sea are rising or dropping. If you can't believe those that have a Ph.D. in this, then figure it out yourself. Your findings might surprise you. You can read can't you? then again, it could be HELL heating up a bit for Cheney and Bush....... draw your own conclusions.

Maybe, maybe not. World climate is a chaotic (nonlinear) system, not a linear one! If you have an average increase in global temperature, it does not manifest itself as an increase in local temperature over the same day last year. The problem is that ocean currents change their flow, wind currents change their patterns, and ecosystems struggle to adapt. Keep your mind open!

What global warming 30 years ago they were howling global cooling "Concerns about nuclear winter arose in the early 1980s from several reports."
"The Washington Post reports that in 1974 the National Science Board, the governing body of the National Science Foundation, stated:[15] During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. "

well the theory goes that increased temperatures shut off the proper circulation of heat from the equator. I personally hope global warming happens I think alaska will be a much better tourist destination if its not frozen most of the time. Since the permafrost is melting we may have massive additional farmland to grow ethanol producing plants. I honestly dont see a huge downside. Cali will have increased deserts and that state totally sux so they will get theirs since the contribute most of the greenhouse gasses and complain about the problem to the rest of america
